Wendy Calvert, Of Counsel
Wendy serves as Of Counsel to the Williams Oby Law Group and is also the owner and founder of The Law Offices of Wendy D Calvert, a nationally certified Women's Business Enterprise.Wendy currently concentrates her practice in commercial litigation, insurance and real estate law. Wendy also has experience as an in-house insurance litigation attorney for multinational corporations.
In addition to being an aggressive and competent trial attorney, Wendy's background brings a practical litigation approach to the firm. Prior to becoming a lawyer, she worked as a corporate consultant / insurance expert with a multinational media company. As a result of her corporate experience, Wendy always envisions lawsuits from the client's perspective and primarily seeks to resolve legal disputes in a cost-efficient way.
Wendy received her Doctorate of Juris Prudence at the University of Wisconsin Law School in Madison in 1999 after earning a B.A. in Communications and Marketing from Marquette University. Wendy is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin, the Illinois Bar Association, and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc.
Carolyn Jarrett, Special Counsel
Carolyn serves as Senior Counsel with Williams Oby Law Group. With over 24 years of experience in the legal profession, Carolyn has worked in a variety of regulatory compliance capacities including service as a budget and policy analyst, an internal auditor, contracts administrator, and as in-house legal counsel for a higher education institution.
Carolyn currently concentrates her practice in areas of business transactions, contracts, bankruptcy and estate planning.
Carolyn holds a Doctorate of Juris Prudence from the University of Wisconsin Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Northwestern University. Carolyn is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin, the Illinois Bar Association and admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court Western District of Wisconsin.
